Day 2: top 5 in print for 2011

One very interesting discovery I’ve made since becoming a columnist for my local newspaper, The Sacramento Bee, is that a lot of grandparents read my column. How awesome is that?

They are the ones I typically hear from around town and I get a kick when they tell me they cut the articles out for their children to read. What caring and involved grandparents!

Hopefully, their children don’t roll their eyes too much when they see another Dr.Mom column waiting for them on their kitchen table or taped to their laptop.

Fortunately, my columns can also be found online via The Sacramento Mom’s Club, they even have a Dr.Mom tab that leads you to the columns I’ve written thus far. But I have to admit, there really is something about sitting down with your morning cup of coffee and flipping through the morning newspaper. Scrolling down on your laptop is just not the same tactile or visual enjoyment.

So, thank you to my regular Dr.Mom column readers who check the Living Here section each and every Tuesday and to those of you who catch it online. I hope you enjoy your morning read with a nice warm cup of coffee and thank you for sharing this information with your friends and family.

And now, in no particular order, here are my top 5 in print for 2011…the ones that readers have most commented to me personally about.

Enjoy and thanks once again for reading!

Your posts are always so helpful, Melissa. As a new mom–with a case of new mom syndrome–your blog became my go to place of reference. Thanks!
